I have featured an oil painting by Barry Johnson who will be spending a lot of his Summer at his villa in Turkey where he likes to paint a lot of the beautiful landscapes from his holiday retreat. We have now broken up for the summer, but that doesn't mean we will not be creative! Apart from the obligatory summer holiday, which we should all be taking our travel watercolour kit, we all have projects to be getting on with. June will (she is determined!) be finishing her part of the four panelled dinosaur mosaic and Mel will be finishing her part by re-painting the background. We are all meeting one more time at Riverside before we start our summer projects. We will (we are all determined!) to finalise our pictures for the Baptist Church walls, and in the Autumn, we will paint them! Thoughts for the Autumn term will be silhouettes, painting onto pictures and maps which are already on your picture. It looks like an exciting and very demanding term coming up! Happy holidays everyone!
